NKYK9 offers a great solution for your pet care needs when you go away on vacation, off to work, on a business trip or holiday. Instead of taking your pet to a kennel, you can now leave them in the comfort and security of your own home without worrying about imposing on friends or neighbors and know they are being well attended to.

Why Pet Sitting?

A kennel can be a great option for some pets and some other pets may do best staying at a veterinarian’s office due to medical needs, but some dogs (especially shy or seniors) and many cats are easily stressed when they are left away from home.  Many pets miss their owners and the familiar sights, sounds and smells of their home. Some pets would be much more comfortable waiting for you in the security of their own home,  having a pet sitter come by as often as you wish to provide fresh water, exercise, food, clean up, any medications and lots of  love & attention.  Although you yourself will be away, your pet will still be around their own home with comforting smells of you. They can kick back and relax while you’re gone, sleeping peacefully in their favorite spots and their normal, everyday surroundings.  Your pets will also be able to follow their own diet and routine and get lots of personalized, loving attention. Appetite and behavior will be monitored for signs of illness or stress.  In the event your pet needs medical attention you will be contacted or in the case of an emergency your pet will be taken to a veterinarian. We are Pet First Aid and CPR certified. Free daily e-mail updates are available upon request and calls to check on your pet are always welcome.

No more rushing home to pick up your pet before the kennel closes or waiting until the next morning to see them and having to pay for that extra night.   Your pets will be right there waiting to greet you!!

Another added bonus of using a pet sitter is additional home security;  your house will not appear as if you are away. This can be a great crime deterrent. We will bring in your mail & newspapers and take your trash to the curbside on trash day. We can alternate blinds and lights and check the heat or A/C.  We’ll do a brief security walk through, making sure nothing is amiss and can even water a few plants for you.

Services Offered

We offer professional care for your pet(s) while you’re away and provide some basic home care tasks.  We come to your home 1-3 times per day between 7:30 AM and 9:00 PM to care for your pet(s) according to your instructions, overnight stays are also possible with advance booking.  How many visits per day needed depends on you, the individual pet and circumstances.  We care for dogs, cats, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, rabbits and other small household pets that do not require live animal feedings.  We will feed a raw diet and any other special diet requests your pet may be accustomed to at no additional charge.

Service Fees are as Follows-

Initial “Meet & Greet” – Required for ALL new pet sitting clients.  This is an opportunity for us to meet, discuss you and your pets’ needs, our services and to see if we’re a “fit” for each other.  There’s no charge for this one time consultation and it lasts 30-45 mins, on average.

Single 30 min Visit – $20*
Two Visits (same day) – $38*
Three Visits (same day) – $55*
Four Visits (same day) – $72*
Overnight Stay – $75 per night*  (Check in between 7-9 PM and check out between 7-9 AM, 11 hr min stay)
Overnight Stay w/ Midday Visit – $85*        

Dog Walking Packages-

1: $200 for 11 half an hour walks or 5.5 one hour walks.**
2: $300 for 17 half an hour walks or 8.5 one hour walks.**
**Must be used within a 30 day period.

*Additional costs may apply for mileage in certain areas or extended visits if more than 30 minutes are needed at a visit to properly care for your pet(s).

Payment is required prior to departure; 21 days in advance for all Overnight Stays and Holiday visits or upon booking your reservation if it’s less than 21 days prior to your departure date.  Checks, Cash and Credit Cards are accepted.

Pet Care Cancellation Policy

7 days notice is required for cancellations of all overnight stays and holiday visits. Overnight and holiday cancellations made less than 7 days in advance will be charged one half of the estimated cost for pet sitting services reserved. For all other regular visits, a 24 hour notice is required. Regular cancellations made with less than 24 hours in advance will be charged one half the estimated cost for pet sitting services. All cancellations will incur a $10 cancellation fee if a key return is necessary.
